Re: WikiPedia, I liked this one
Mon, April 24, 2006 - 9:48 AMyeah, its got some good links, but what is up with the main description of her being a "green party activist"? I'm guessing it was written by someone she knew through those circles

Re: WikiPedia, I liked this one
Mon, May 15, 2006 - 8:53 AMFor me it would be mostly second- and third-hand, but Wikipedia is set up for anyone to add to and edit as they consider appropriate. I'm always shy about editing there, though I've made tiny corrections and edits in a few topic areas where I know something.
When I was studying journalism (at FWC -- that's another story), I picked up a bit of an insight. Of what we know "about," we may feel competent to talk about and have a give and take over one tenth (i.e., we probably don't go around saying we know it "for a fact," but we're happy to throw our opinions into the mix). And of what we feel we really know, we may feel competent to *write* for publication about a tenth of that.
Maybe the internet, blogs, etc. have fuzzed up some of the boundaries, but anyway, it would be great if someone who knows more about Marla could add something to the Wikipedia entry.
