Hey everyone,
I'm really interested in transferring to Friend's World...err Global College... I did a semester in India with Carpe Diem International and I fell in love with traveling and learning and interacting with different cultures; suffice to say, it was the most amazing three months of my life. I've been going to music school, but since my chronic tendonitis has kicked in full speed this is no longer an option...therefore we arrive upon Global College! So I've REALLY looked into this school and it seems like an amazing program- but what I'm looking for is the dirt on it, what you guys DON'T like about it- I want to get the most well-rounded view I can before making a total commitment to it. Also if you have any insight in general that would be great too! I'm also especially interested to hear what you alumni are doing these days, and what grad schools/programs you went to afterwards (if you did go). Any input at all would be greatly treasured and appreciated. Sorry for the long post... but hope to hear from someone soon!
Thanks,
Brittany

Re: Looking to transfer to Friend's World/Global College
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 12:27 AMI Think if you loved the 3 months you spent abroad, FW or GC would be great for you. I think people either love the school or hate the school. The one thing about that school is it takes a lot of self disipline, you have to be passionate about what you are studying, other wise you will be wasting your time. In the program you can experience many different things, when I attened there was a great deal of independent study. It has been almost 10 year now though since I went and I know many things have changed, but students who went to the school even 5 years before myself, had a completely different experience. Alumni have ended up doing a lot of interesting things. I will have to say that some of the most interesting people I know went to FW. I hope you do decide to go, it is an amazing experience, something I would have regreted if I had not gone. Good luck.
